On December 19, 2023, Jarvis Christian University 1985 graduate Shirley Jackson Johnson, received the keys to the town of Corrigan, Texas, and they declared October 28th, Shirley Jackson Johnson Day!!!
Shirley was inducted into the Jarvis Christian University Hall of Fame for volleyball on October 28,2023. She was a 5 sport athlete, all while maintaining high academic standards, a feat still today that has never been done.
She is so grateful and thankful to Jarvis Christian University President and the Hall of Fame Committee, the Mayor and community of Corrigan, all of her family, friends, coaches, teammates, professors, mentors, everyone who
contributed and helped her along the way. She loves you all and says these honors mean the world to her!
